I agree that I think other systems would have to be reformed for this to easily work on a large scale. Having a leader who doesn’t label journalists as “enemies of the people” is a good place to start. More broadly though it would require government, business, and society to see quality journalism as public good and not a for-profit venture.

It would also require a certain camaraderie among journalists on a larger scale to help each other gain access to the places or people that journalists need to have access too.
